The storytelling hour is an experiential activity that combines storytelling, play, movement, music, and unique props. The children are active participants in the performance and feel the storyline through various artistic means.

Storytelling hour process: What’s in the box? Together with the children, I discover what’s hidden in the box. The object found inside will appear later in the story. A conversation with Shammel: Shammel, the beloved puppet, and I have an amusing dialogue. Shammel is always experiencing some kind of problem related to the story. At the end of the story, after we’ve played different characters, moved around, and acted, we’ll offer a solution to Shammel’s problem, inspired by the performance.
